Recommendation for Chiropractor in Sacramento

I have never been to a chiropractor so I'm hoping to get some recommendations. I live near CSUS and would prefer a practice that is nearby (i.e. midtown, arden/expo, howe, college greens, etc.). I would like to avoid driving to Roseville, Citrus Heights, etc. Thanks for your help.

Dr. Ed Chu at Elite Spinal and Sports Care on Hallmark Dr. (off of Howe near the movie theater). He's really good - he's worked on my hubby quite a bit and we really like him.

Hi B.
I went to Dr.Barham several years ago. Great guy. He worked with me on the payments. Maybe he still will. He's near Howe. Sorry i can't remember the phone #. But there in the phone book. The other Dr's in the office are all good to.

B.: To be asking for chiropractor care means you may have been injured. If you were in an accident, I work with a Personal Injury attorney and we do awesome work for our clients.
To be honest, chiropractors "manipulate" to make you believe you are better but many times they can injure you more only because they are not seeing the entire picture of you.
Have you tried physical therapy for whatever is causing you to want to see a chiro?
Any way, the people that give you names are great chiropractors. But remember, if you are going yourself, you have to pay directly because most insurance do not cover chiropractors.
Good luck and let me know if you need attorney advice.

It may be a little far...but Dr. Spainhower at First Chiropractic is awesome. He is on Olson Drive in the Target shopping center, off the Zinfandel exit.

Damon West/Acme Chiropractic on Alhambra across from McKinley park. My husband has been seeing him for nearly 1 year. His back would put him in bed to the point he could not walk and would be out of work for 2-3 months at a time. Knock on wood, he is doing fantastic and Dr. West keeps his back in great shape. You have to at least go for a consult - you won't regret it.

Hi. I go to a chiropractor named K. Brent Fisher. He is over by Fair Oaks and Manzanita... a bit further down where the split is. I have gone to him off and on since 1986 so he has advanced his practice in different ways but gets a good end result. His number is ###-###-####.

I have been to many Chiropractors and most of them were a waste of time and money until I went to Dr. Hansen. Unfortunately, he is in Elk Grove off of Elk Grove Blvd. I am sure that is farther than you want to go but he is completely worth it! His hours are very flexible. He is the only Chiropractor that made a real difference for me. He also uses the Bio Cranial method (kind of like a stretch) and that really helps too. Some people are just natural healers and I put Dr. Hansen in that category.

Good Luck with your choice!

Hi B.,

I used to work for the most amazing chiropractor. Her name is Kassie Donoghue. I've been to many chiros in my life and honestly she is the best. I met with her before I had an actual adjustment just to make sure that I was confortable with her style. She takes almost all insurance plans and if you do not have insurance the cash price is very reasonable. After several years of being treated by her, I ended up working for her. Her patients are very devoted.

Hi B.,
I can recommend Michael Murphy on Professional Drive, off Arden Way. I see him when I need to, especially while I was pregnant. My best friend also sees him and loves him. He is a big guy with a wonderful personality. I really like the fact that he used moist heat AND the roller table for quite a while before even touching me. He also take several insurances. If you go to him, tell him L. Raskin referred you!
Sincerely,
L.

I highly recommend David Gunther, a terrific chiropractor whose office is on J Street near 17th. I have known him for 25 years, and both my husband and I go to him for back pain, post-surgery issues, and leg pain. He is also the chiropractor for the Sacramento Ballet. His number is ###-###-####.
