Does anyone know anythign about the TST Reception Hall off of Dale Ave in ST PAUL? We were thinking of going there. They seem to have a reasonable cheap price. IF you have had ur reception there or know someone that has what did you or not like about it?

Also, does anything know about the VFW in ROseville or the Commmunity Center in Maplewood or the VFW in South Saint Paul?

What can I do next?

K.,
I had my wedding at Ideal Hall exactly 3 years ago. S. and Tony are great people to work with. If you go on their website they have pics of my wedding posted on the photo section the white square cake with pink flower is my cake and then the black and pink head table/buffet table with tooling is also ours, and the pic of the bartender and the bride with her back to the camera and two guests that is me! Well anyway it was a great honor to be apart of their website. She asked if she could use the photos as this was to show some of the updates right after their remodel and I said of coarse!
Back then they did not have their liquior license and we were allowed to bring in our liquor but they changed that right after our wedding but still they are considerably a lot cheaper then anywhere else.
My selling points were as follows:
They are already pretty well decorated and if you have not been there yet the pictures do not do it justice going there is better ;) this will save you some money I know decor was a huge expense and we got away without it there since they did all the linens and the hall is already pretty well decorated for us I know there was an up charge for it but WELL worth it.
They will let you try a few meals to decide which one you want. We loved the djon chicken and ended up going with it. It was FABULOUS and everyone is still talking about it. We even had appitizers at the end of the reception so that people went home with a little something in their belly besides liquor :) Luckily we had a shuttle for our guests.
And the last thing was that they were willing to work with me on every aspect... Very laid back.
Anything else feel free to email me.

The Maplewood Community Center is a nice place for a reception. We wanted ours there but they weren't available. We ended up at the Shoreview Community Center & had a wonderful time. You can bring in your own food if you need to & they also have receommendations.

Hi K.,
I had my reception at the VFW in SSP back in 2000. We had like 300 guests and had the womens auxilary cater it. They did a wonderful job and the reception was a blast. I think I received a substantial discount too because my dad was a member so you may want to look into having a member reserve it for you. My only recommendation... get a great DJ.. I think it really makes the reception. :)
Have fun!!

Hello,
My good friend had her reception there. It was really cheap, but let me tell you, it's not very classy. It was big enough and everything, but there definitely wasn't anything special about it. I had my reception at K & J catering in North St Paul, it is reasonably priced and very very pretty. We had a relatively small reception tho so I don't know about the size. They do have several rooms there though. Good Luck!
