Does anyone have a good recommendation for a female OBGYN near the Wash Park/Cherry Creek area (that is a provider for United Health Care)?

Also, has anyone gotten the Paragard IUD contraceptive? I would like to get one and wondered what opinions people had on them.

What can I do next?

I'm loving Dr. Usha Varma on Cherry Creek North Blvd. She's not part of a large practice - it's just her and her 2 nurses. She's got an excellent bedside manner, she's been practicing for 38 years, she's always educating herself on what's new, and she really makes an effort to educate her patients (I've not experienced the same with the 2 other OB/GYNs I saw before her nor have I received anywhere near the level of education from even my fertility specialist). She's really fantastic, I never feel rushed, and I appreciate that she treats me like a special, valued person, not just a number. Her number is ###-###-####.

I go to Mile High OB/GYN in Hilltop. They delivered all 3 of my kids and I've been very happy with them. They're on Hudson St. Their number: ###-###-#### and website: www.milehighobgyn.com.

Midtown OBGYN is a great practice. They were located near St Joseph's hospital but are relocating near Rose . They have a website. Check them out.

I second Mile High OB on Hudson.

Also, I have a paraguard and love it. The only side effect, except for sterility, is that I've had longer periods but they are much lighter. So, about 6 days long, with one day of "heavy" flow, but is still lighter than before.

Good luck!
