Added: I emailed my ex trying to figure out if I ever mentinoed it to him and if it was J. recent...apparently he says since in my late teens I mentioned it occasionally? Apparently I'm bad with remembering how long things have bothered M.-- so it started wya before the accident
Does anyone else ever get this. Sometimes some of my limbs feel like they have rubber bands attached to them constricting them making it take effort to move them or hold them up? Its not constant, and is not durng extra exertion. When it happened they feel almost numb and tingly and then weak and I force myself to keep moving whatever part of my body it is until it goes away, sometimes the weakness is so much i succumn to it and J. rest it, upset by the feeling. I'm J. wondering what this could be from. I assumed it was from being in the car accident and getting bulging discs and nerve damage but now that I think about it I remember it happeneing years ago. I know go to the dr is always the go to advice. I will eventually=) J. wondering if anyones ever had this and if there was a reason.

I feel like im 29 and falling apart...lol I hadn't gone to the dr in 5 years since I had my daughter then this year had to go for chest pains along with the numbness and tingling , i forgot to mention the weakness...they J. conentrated on the chest pains and they did an ekg? and that was normal so they jus said to follow up with a cardiologist if it continued but i think i led them to believe the tingling and numbness was only because of the accident and didn't mention the weakness.
thanks

Nerve damage doesn't go away yrs ago or months/wks ago...bulging discs press on nerves, thus making the damage greater...so MANY things could be happening in your body, 5 yrs is too long to wait to see the Doc...ask for a referral to a neurologist as well as to a good cardiologist, ask for an 'EMG' for the limbs you are experiencing the weakness in...Best to you, NOW call the Doc for an appt.!

Periodic numbness, tingly feeling and weakness.
Could be nerve or a circulation problem but considering the car accident (when?) resulting in bulging discs and nerve damage - I'd have to guess the nerve/spinal damage is getting worse or something in there has shifted and is pinching off some nerves.
You might want to see an orthopedist or someone who can take a good look at your spine and see what is going on.
Write down all of your symptoms as you think/experience them and take the list with you to discuss with your doctor - that way you don't have to think/remember them at the last minute.

Try a little exercise. My body routinely reminds M. that it needs to be taken out for a walk now and again.

bulging discs can wreak havoc on a body - especially if they are in your neck from an accident...tingling arms occurs when there is nerve damage. the longer you let it go on - the worse the damage gets.

I have an old boyfriend that waited to get to the doctor. He cannot feel parts of his hands and arms. The doctor isn't sure if he'll EVER get that sensation back.

Potassium makes our muscles work. When my doctor gave M. medication for high blood pressure - she failed to tell M. that I needed to take potassium as well. Two days later, i was vomiting and could barely walk. Bob took M. to the ER where they said if I hadn't come in - I would've died because my had almost no potassium in my system.

If you value your life - don't wait. Do not pass go. Go to your doctor this week if not today.

That sounds disconcerting. If I were you, I would ask the doctor to test you for MS, J. in case. Whatever it is, or even if they can't figure it out - try to give yourself some really good TLC - get enough rest, do something actively relaxing (tv doesn't count!) to reduce your stress levels. Us moms always have stressful things to deal with, and then if you are getting frustrating health symptoms, its compounds things. Look after yourself.

tingling in the arms can be from high blood pressure, pinched nerve(s) - a myriad of things. You could not have enough iron or potassium in your system. No potassium - your muscles can't work.

go to the doctor for a full medical exam. Get blood drawn.

If you have bulging discs, that is even more reason to go to a doctor. You do not want them to linger and get worse.
