I understand about not having a job, but from what I understand the state system will help you out with childcare. I'm new to NC and just learning the ropes of the system. I am actually looking for a child to keep in my home during the day. I am the mother of 4, but have only one left at home (the others have moved out on their own). I have a son that is 11 who is still the apple of my eye!
I understand how hard it can be to find good daycare that you can afford.
If you can't find a job, how will you be able to afford anything for daycare? I guess that's not necessarily my busisness, but if we can work something out, I would love to see if I can help you. I need a little extra money for my monthly bills, and that started my search for a child to babysit for...

I really understand what you are going through i am with my daughters father but at 21 years old my first husband left me when my son was 4 and a half months he is now 14 i worked at night cleaning offices and banks so i could take him with me.
i didn't go to school in NC but in NY they have a program at the school there for students children if you check that out.
I really hope everything works out for you.I just want to say hang in there 14 years later i don't regret anything i did i love my son and did everything to raise him right.

It seems that you have access to a computer so you may be able to take online classes. I am currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix and they not only offer online classes but classroom settings as well. The classroom settings meet only one night a week and I have a support group of classmates that help out on the workload. Other colleges have adult night classes and some may even offer daycare referrals in your area, just call and find out. I understand you being a single parent portion because it is only my daughter and myself and I work full time as well as go to school. That is one of the advantages of going to this university, my classes last 5 weeks and I am able to take a full load. In return I am finished with school faster than in a traditional college.
