I have recently had two miscarriages in a row and am 33. I am possibly interested in having testing for recurrent pregnancy loss and am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a reproductive endocrinologist that will do testing after TWO losses rather than waiting for three. We don't have the choromosomal testing back from our second loss yet, so this may be a moot point, but I'm trying to get my ducks lined up. Thank you!
I had 2 miscarriages in a row at the age. My doctor told me to wait a couple of months & try again. I did that everything worked out find. This was almost 10 years ago. My son will be 10 in March. He is a nirmal happy & healthy child. Best wishes to you!
Just a note...I have had 3 friends within the last year who have ended up with a clotting disorder after having 2-3 miscarraiges. The clotting disorder has made their bodies abort thinking it's a strange thing in there. One of the diseases is called Factor V Leiden, but there are a few. Just in case you haven't been checked--some docs are very slow to do this testing. They all just had successful pregnancies after using injections of blood thinners throughout the preg. Good Luck!
Dr. Richard Kopher is, if anything, perhaps a little test-happy but he's also very thorough and interested in getting to the root of a problem quickly. Whether or not your insurance will cover the testing is another matter, but I'm guessing he'll run any reasonable test you're interested in.

Your insurance probably will not cover the testing after 2 b/c the "standard" is 3 even if you do find a doc willing to do the testing. My girlfriend was just in the same situation. She is now 19 weeks along after 2 miscarriages in a row. I am sorry for your losses. I have had 2 miscarriages myself and can empathize with your situation. I wish you the best!
