couldher urine be slightly acidic? My son would break out in a rash on the bottom side if he had apple juice.
My daughter has a rash on the lips of her private area. There has been no change, other than starting her on rice cereal. I keep her meticuliously clean and dry. What are the different treatments for the rashes? This rash is red and bumpy and has gradually gotten worse even with great care. It doesn't seem to hurt her at all, but is driving me crazy!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated. She's never taken antibiotics, but I was on massive doses (IV) when I got a uterine infection after having her, she's nursed and just started with rice cereal, she's 5 months old and happy and healthy otherwise. Thank you very much, WRS

Our tried and true method when my son gets a diaper rash is plain old corn starch! Trust me it works! We just go buy it out of the cooking section at the grocery store for about $0.89 so it is way cheaper than anything else! I would say if that doesn't work I would call the doctor cause it could be a yeast infection. Any time my son gets a little red I pour some "snow" on it and it is all better by the next diaper change!
Hope that helps!

could be a yeast infection rashespecially if it is only in that area..if it were just plain old diaper rah it would be everywhere more than likely..i would take her to the pedi...
Trust me, it's a yeist infection. My kid gets them occasionally. It will not get better with regular diaper cream. Buy some lotromin (jock itch cream) and put it on her 4 times a day. It should clear up in a few days, but continue to keep it on her for a few days after it seems to have cleared.
I second the yeast infection idea. My daugher had them bad. I used lotrimin too. It worked well. I would stay away from giving her anything apple (juice, sauce, puffs, dried pieces) until she's potty trained. My daughter's would flare up bad when i gave her anything apple. Now that she's potty trained she can have a little bit with out too much of a problem. If it persists contact your dr.
Good luck!
