Could be erythema multiforme. Usually a circular "bullseye" type pattern with a clear or bruised looking center. They can move around.....causes vary. I would go to the doctor to have it checked out.
Hi,
My four year old daughter woke up from her nap yesterday and had kind of a splotchy rash on her legs. It sort of looked patterned and circular red splotches (actually the skin was sort of red and the circular parts were skin color). Well, it went away by night and then today she had it on her arms. It looked worse after her nap, and seems to be sort of faded now. It's not on her legs any more except in a couple of spots on her thighs. I'll take her to the doctor tomorrow if it doesn't look better, but anyone know what it might be?

Allergy to detergent. What did you wash her sheets in. I would rewash
everything on her bed and see what happens.
It almost sounds like ringworm. I would take her to the dr. and have it checked out. Google pictures of ringworm and see if that is what it looks like.
Wondering what it turned out to be? My daughter has a rash like that today, and I suspect it's fifth's disease.
Sounds like hives. Has she been on any new medications, or are you using new detergent? My son had the same thing on his 8th day of taking sulfameth. Some meds take a long time to show reactions.
I had the same thing & found out it was hives. Give her some benedryl. if its really bad taker her in. dr told me that the blotches were also on my insides. Its an allergy to something she was exposed to.
could it be heat rash? Was she really hot when she woke up?
