We have a very active two-year-old and we're trying to find good activities for rainy or cold Saturday mornings. Any suggestions?
A simple one could be just going to the play space at the Natick Collection. My daughter always loved that on rainy days!
Home Depot has a free project "class" for kids every Saturday morning. See if the one near you participates (you might even be able to get dad to go and give you some quiet time at home)!

Noodle Noggin N Bean in Northboro is WONDERFUL for a 2 yr old. My daughter loves it!
Our son is almost 13 now, but we did lots of fun things on rainy or cold days. For no-cost ideas, we did many of the following:
--snuggle up and read books
--see how many times he could run up and down the stairs or around the house outside, depending on weather (this could be interspersed between more sedate activities throughout the day)
--drawing, painting, and/or cutting out colored paper to make cards, pictures, etc.
--bake or cook something
--tumbling on the carpet
--get some good rain boots and splash in the puddles
--do a puppet show
--have stuffed animal races (powered by people)
I'm sure there are lots of other ideas but these come to mind first. Even with an active child, it's important to cultivate mellow times for them as well. And I also believe it is important to not only associate "having fun" with spending money. The more fun you create at home, the more your kids will want to spend time there in later years.
Today will be a great day to try any of the ideas people have given you. At least the weather is cooperating and giving you rain today!

Local library, check out the local libraries for events or just to go and play in the children's area and pick out books.

Just running through a mall and visiting Disney Store or Build-a-Bear (not buying) in Burlington Mall worked for too. There is a "One-Stop-Fun" in Westford http://www.onestopfun.com/ that is an indoor place where you pay per child for those ball-pits connected by tunnels and slides (make sure to wash hands before touching face since my daughter and her best friend both got a stomach bug the next day after visiting there). Finally, we live in Groton and the library children's room is a meeting place for moms with kids.
If the high school in your town, or a surrounding town, has an indoor pool, that is a great way to pass a rainy or cold day. We also enjoy the going to the library, baking together at home, and local indoor gyms (although they can get pricey). Good luck!
