I work in the city and have a pretty long walk from the train to my office. I need to purchase a pair of rain boots. I am looking for a pair that will last for years. Looking for comfort in walking,. What do you suggest...

What can I do next?

I have an awesome pair of Merrell boots, leather, waterproof, stylish, and so so comfortable. They go slightly above my ankles, have a zip up the inside of each foot.. I've drudged around NYC slush and rain in them for years and they still keep my feet dry, and haven't lost their shape.

:)

You carry your office shoes (or keep them at work), right?
Muck boots (or Wellingtons) will keep your feet dry.
You can get away with ankle or mid calf boots if you have no major puddles to wade through.
It's up to you how much heel you want (I like mine low).
You can Google 'cowboy rain boots' and you'll find a lot of choices.

Hunter Wellies! I've had mine for years and use them as both rain and snow boots. They are great!

I saw cute rain boots at DSW along with their boot selections the other day.

Personally, I do not wear them... we are still in a drought and we don't get much winter weather.

They were really cute and I think they were Sperry brand.

The sperry brand was very comfortable as far as cushion inside and then had enough room to spread your toes comfortably.. However, next time, I would buy the shorter ones that go just enough above the ankle to keep the water out. I mention this because I bought ones that go almost to your knee and when I walk, I don't like where they bend (which is between the top of my foot and where your shin begins... the crease right there can be uncomfortable.. AND... I always had to wear longer socks , otherwise, that same spot would get a blister.. I think it's the length that was a problem.. maybe if you have really skinny legs and shins it won't bother you.. but if you don't and or like me (medium build) then I just think the ankle ones are the better way to go..

oh buy em on Zappos.. if you don't like whatever boots you buy, you can easily return them..

I bought my daughter a pair of Sperry rain boots a few years ago. Her college campus would flood a lot of the time and she had to walk from the sorority house to campus. She loves them. She even goes hunting in them with her boyfriend. That is a whole different story!!

I bought a pair of Sperry rain boots for myself last year (year before??) and I really like them. I don't wear them a ton but I do wear them. They are almost knee high, very warm and very waterproof so far! They are stylish and come in different patterns but more often than not you'll probably want to change out of them for work. I do wear them as a fashion statement some days but since they are so warm I wouldn't want to be wearing them inside or at work! :)

I got mine on Zappos, I think they were like $50 or so?? I read the reviews closely and that helped decide which size I should get.
