He's fine and sounds delightful!
There are many child development books out there that will tell you what milestones to look for.
Play with him, talk and sing to/with him and read read read to him.
Dr Seuss is a great place to start.
My dc is about to turn 27 months old in a few days. He's pretty verbal, says over 300 words. I've lost count lol. He can put simple sentences together, like "come here mommy" "Teddy's in the kitchen" "mommy did it" etc. He also understands alot. He knows shapes and colors and can name a lot of the alphabet, but can't recite his abc's he just says "abcd" and stops, but can name mostly all the letters when shown. He can't count well only 1,2,3 or 1,2,4,10 he says. He still cannot jump. He knows what it is and bends his knees and pushes upward when asked, but he doesn't actually come off the ground. He doesn't really care to color and when I ask him to draw a line or circle (I show him first) he just scribbles. He has trouble taking off his shirts, I need to help him get it started and he finishes. He also labels everything, if he sees a bird he says " mommy, mommy a bird" same for everything he sees lol
Is this normal

Couldn't you just say he's 2? And that sounds pretty normal to me.
Your child sounds like a normal two year old child. CHILL.
Yep, that is what my little one does and she is the same age.
Kids progress at their own rate. Some kids seem to develop mentally first & then the physical things follow. Others are all about physical development (coordination, walking/jumping, etc.) first and then the mental development (language, etc) catches up. Your little guy sounds totally fine to me. Keep helping him learn new physical skills.
I wouldn't worry about it. My 3rd daughter was like your guy: verbal like crazy but VERY slow to walk, jump, button things and, later, use scissors. We just dropped her off for her senior year in college. She's bright, compassionate, quick witted and thinking about med school. Oh, and she can walk, jump, play soccer, drive a car and all those other things -- though she still hates using scissors.
No worries, mama.
Go to parentcenter.com and enter his information, register, and you'll receive emails each day, week, and/or month as to what stage is coming next, what he should be able to do, and if he's behind or just right or advanced.
Sounds normal to me as well.
My DD was always a little faster in learning verbal/academic skills than motor skills.
For gross motor skills I can absolutely recommend enrolling in a Mommy and me gym class with him. Most kids (whether that is true for your child I don't know) just don't get enough opportunity these days to be physical. So much time in the home and at preschool/daycare is dedicated to academic skills and not enough to outside and rough and tumble play - which is important for boys and girls.
Good luck.

Welcome to mamapedia!!
Sounds TOTALLY normal!!
What are you expecting of him? He's just over 2 years old. Please DO NOT compare your child to another. NO one child is the same. All three of mine are different - personalities, likes, dislikes, morning person vs. not!
They are learning their world and learning their words. Do not expect him to be a genius! he's doing fine mama!!
Go to the library and check out some books on child development. You'll find all is "normal" with your son and you'll have a far better understanding of young children in general.
Just curious, what is your dc? Clearly your son but what does that stand for?
sounds normal to me!
Normal. Get a video of him 'jumping'. You will enjoy it once he really can jump.
Sounds pretty normal to me. Some kids need help learning how to do physical things. Being in a preschool class will help him, when you're ready to put him in one.
Next time you take him to the pediatrician for something, ask about the things you notice that he can't do yet. Your doctor will most likely put your mind at ease.
How would you even know he knows 300 words. Do you have concerns. What exactly is your question.
Ummmm.... ya. Normal.
