My mother and I were talking today about quilt patterns, and I asked if there is anything like "Ravelry" (knit & crochet pattern library) for quilting patterns. She sent me some websites but nothing is comparable in my eyes. Does anything like it exist?

What can I do next?

There are lots of sites that are nothing but free quilting patterns. You might want to google it yourself so you can find ones that you favor.

Also, check Pinterest. I find a lot of links I'd never see otherwise.

i have used pinterest and http://www.favequilts.com/ to get ideas and patterns. but have not found a ravelry type quilting community. i would love to find one though.
i just did a general google search and heres the results : https://www.google.com/search?q=quilting+forums&oq=qu...

none of them seem to be as helpful as ravelry though... if you find a ravelry for quilting let me know!

Sometimes you have to put in a name of a design and get ideas for a quilt. Check out a few quilt shows. Try the Missouri Quilt Store (online) they have classes. Get a hold of a local quilt shop or guild. Try Pinterest or Google. I am sorry they are not all in one nice neat place. Look at Quilt in a Day or Fons and Porter for ideas. Good luck to you.
