Upon the sale of our home, we will be moving to Frisco soon. We love our neighbors & our community and are hoping to find that in Frisco as well. Can you make any recommendations for any housing communities in Frisco ISD?
Our son is 2 yrs old. We'd love a place that has children around his age.

What can I do next?

We love The Trails of West Frisco. There are lots of young families, two wonderful exemplary elementary schools within the neighborhood, and middle school walking distance. I teach at one of the elementary schools, and we moved to The Trails because I love the families and neighborhood. I knew this was where I wanted my young boys (3 and 3 months) to grow up. There are paved walking/biking trails throughout the neighborhood, as well as two pools, playground, soccer fields, and tennis courts. All amenities are included with HOA dues. I cannot say enough about this neighborhood. There's a weekly running club that meets at 6:30 am on Saturdays and sponsor 5k's in the neighborhood, and seasonal events for the kids sponsored by the HOA. The best part is we are 2 miles west of the Dallas North Tollway, so it's easy commuting.

We also live in the Trails like Christi and love the neighborhood. I agree with everything Christi said. The entire neighborhood is very family oriented and lots of children for playmates! The Trails also backs up to a very nice golf course so if your husband plays golf thats a bonus.

OMG!
Growing up in San Francisco, California, I was so ready to alert you about calling it Frisco if you moved there. Not a good thing.
However......
You're talking about Frisco, Texas, aren't you.

No advice on the latter, but good luck on your move!

Best wishes!

Where is Frisco? No San Franciscan, Californian or West Coast person uses that term.
Yes there are many good sections of town. Do you intend to rent? Go south of town on the way to Pacifica and there you will find many apartment complexes and buildings that cater to families with children. I used to take my children to the nearby parks to play. There is a spectacular park Golden Gate. It has everything.
So many women are working that the SAHM has to look hard to meet other women. See if there is a Birth to Three somewhere. You and your husband will meet families.
The Buena Vista area around that park is also very family oriented.
SFO is costly so shop wisely.
Religion in SFO is very diversified. So if you have a deeply Christian point of view pack it in in public. Buddhists, Hindus, Athesists, Jews, Protestants, Agnostics and Catholics and everyone else form friendships across racial, religious and ethnic lines. It is so heartening to see our future unfold this way. There is a big gay and lesbian community in San Franciso and many of these folks are parents too.
There are an endless number of street festivals every year and you can go enjoy other people's customs and food.
After a year in the Bay Area you'll wonder why you didn't move there sooner. I hope the city welcomes you and you fall in love with it as I did.
Last year after Christmas eve with my family I came back to SFO in the morning. I caught the N Judah line and took it to the beach and walked around. I spent the most wonderful day alone going all over the city on public transportation.
