No worries, Mama! They are an antibiotic drop and you can't harm your little one with them. Relax!
My 7month old son was prescribed Vigamox for his blocked tear ducts which got infected..... He also had a sinus infection and an ear infection at the same time. I have been giving the drops for almost TWO weeks, and never thought about when I was supposed to stop. The drops themselves never said "use for three days". We got in a routine and stuck with it. I am now freaking out that I am harming his eyes. the dr doesnt get in for a few hours so I figured I would see what the mom wisdom was.
whoops! only supposed to be for THREE days! thankfully I did NOT give it this morning. Nurse said to stop, but no harm done. PHEW!

Vigamox is the same as any other prescription. Use it up until it's gone. This insures the infection is gone.
Try talking him to a chiropractor that knows how to do Cranial Sacral Massage therapy. This will get rid of the blocked tearducts. Most of the time the problem is the ducts are getting blocked because of misalignments in the face. My youngest dd had the snottiest eyes until she was 7mos old. After several treatments she was fine and never had the issue again. Really I don't know why they would give you an antibiotic drop, it is not an infection that is causing this. All 4 of my kids had this issue. The first three, it went away on it's own. My fourth looked as though she had constant snot running out of her eyes. One we did the facial massage for a few weeks it was gone and never seen again.
Hi, J.:
Use this 3 times a day for 7 days.
Call and talk to the nurse at the peds office and
get clarification.
