absolutely, it is all connected! My children never ran fevers, just had ear pain and drooling with a slight runny nose.
Has anyone's baby experienced ear pain when teething? I think that's my daughter's problem. She's not too feverish, no cough, hand constantly in her mouth, drooling, etc., etc.

Hi L.! I hope your daughter is feeling better, but the ear pain is certainly possible. It's a referred pain. That means that the pain in her jaw can radiate to her ear. Very typical with teething. Just give her a little pain reliever, and hopefully, she will feel better. Best of luck and happy holidays!
ear pain is very common! try an amber teething necklace, you can find them on ebay or hyenacart.com
The entire time my son was teething he rubbed his ears. He also ran a low-grade fever (and of course there was drooling). He's had several ear infections in the past but the only indicators were fever and night waking (no ear rubbing).
Better safe than sorry, get a doctor to check her.
I think it's all related.
Baby Orajel Swabs are wonderful! They will usually help with the gums until something like motrin or tylenol "kicks in".
Both of our girls got to the point where when they saw us getting out the swabs, they'd just come over and wait for it to drain into the swab end, and we'd try to swab their gums - they'd about latch onto it and suck the medicine out of it! Apparently, they knew it helped. :)
Good luck!
Hi L..
Both of my children experienced ear pain when teething. I would take them to the pediatricians office because they were constantly pulling on their ears, only to find out that new teeth were coming! Of course, when I thought they were teething and pulling on their ears, turned out it was an ear infection. If there's no fever or cough, and you notice the drool, etc. I wouldn't think it's anything other than teething! Good luck!
She may be teething, but I don't think ear pain is a symptom.
If she has a fever and is pulling on her ears, is irritable and not sleeping well, I would have her checked for ear infection. That is not something to let fester. As for teething, I highly recommend Hyland's homeopathic teething tablets.
Ear pain or discomfort is very normal with teething.I know the babies are uncomfortable and usually give a small amount of tylonol for babies ot motrin for the inflamation.Tylonol if they get a fever.
I didn't read other responses so you may have already gotten this. Ear pain is perfectly normal with teething because your nerves are all connected in that area and when they are teething they can have radiating pain that goes up to the ear. It may not necessarily be an infection she could just be having this type of pain. Lord knows if it's not an infection she doesn't need to be on antibiotics. As long as she has no fever or low grade I would just treat it with advil, tylenol, whatever your choice is.
My daughter always gets ear infections when she is teething. Every time! We use Motrin to help her with the pain. You can also try frozen fruit in one of the mesh feeder bags. It worked wonders for my little girl.
