Question About Salmonella and Cooked Meat

i just got a phone call about a meat recall. i checked the meat in our freezer, and it's not from the same upc code. however, my husband made turkey burgers last night, and our trash was picked up this morning (so i can't check the upc on the package, it's gone).
i also slightly reheated a burger (probably not to 165 degrees, as i should have), and gave it to my son for lunch (he finished eating about 10 minutes before i got the call from the store).
so my question is, if the burger was thoroughly cooked last night, do i really need to worry about my son getting sick today from a reheated burger?
i'm keeping in mind that the turkey may or may not have been contaminated in the first place, but i cannot check to make sure.

TIA

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Neither my son nor my husband got sick (Thank goodness!!)
It's times like these that I wish our family (and not just me) were vegetarians. (And yes, I know that even veggies can be contaminated!)
Thanks to all who responded!!!

No, if you cooked thoroughly and stored it properly afterward (in the fridge without it sitting it for hours after the meal), you're fine. I used to do PR for the meat industry and was there in the middle of the big Jack in the Box e.coli crisis. If you cook ground meat thoroughly (no pink!), it kills foodborne bacteria.

no worries, it doesn't matter if you reheat it all actually, just that it was completely cooked to begin with.

You don't have to reheat to 165. You cook initially to 165 to ensure that any cooties are killed in the first place. Then like CAWriterMom said with proper storage you are fine.

You are probably fine. But just to err on the side of caution, be mindful and know the signs and symptoms of salmonella infection so that you can seek prompt medical treatment.

Nope--already cooked. He could have eaten it ice cold. No worries.

If you didn't get sick last night you won't get sick on the left overs.

I think ServSafe says that all foods reheated in microwaves should be at 165*. anyway.

He'd be sick already if it was in fact some of the contaminated turkey meat.
