As long as she seems happy and doesn't seem sick, I wouldn't worry too much. My son goes on what we call hunger strikes every once in a while and just stops eating. It's often due to teething but sometimes we have no clue what the cause is.
Over the last week or so my almost 8 month old hasn't been eating like she normally has. She usually has 3 8oz bottles during the day and then a 6 oz before she goes to bed. All the sudden her 2nd bottle of the day she maybe will drink 2 oz's here and there and not finish the bottle and then maybe go about 5 hours or so inbetween bottles. Usually goes between 3-4 hours till her next bottle. Now this morning she only had 2 oz's of her 1st bottle of the day and is asleep taking her morning nap with basically nothing her in tummy. Just wondering if this is apart of her teething possibly or going through a growth spurt. She already has one bottom tooth in and not the other. She hasn't been crying or anything she is a happy baby 99% of the time and is always a good eater.
Thanks for all of your input everyone. I am guessing it was due to teething because her second bottom tooth just popped up today and she has been eating just fine.

It sound like teething or a growth spurt. Some babies teeth and you won't know until the tooth is actually there! Another thought is that with the seasons changing, she could have a nasal drip which is an INSTANT appetite killer. Don't stress. As long as she's happy and sleeping know that it's just a phase. :)
Hi L.,
I don't thin you asid if the baby was getting solids yet? I am going to assume she is probably getting baby food and cereal. It sounds like she is a little bored with her bottle right now. Try out some safe finger foods like cheerios, ritz crackers, maybe soft tiny pieces of fruit. Or something new like yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes. Don't worry too much though, as long as she doesn't have any other health concerns and is not losing weight, she won't starve herself. Kids just go through phases with eating. To be honest at 8 months she should start easing up on the milk a bit and getting more nutrition from food. If you really think she is thirsty offer her some water.
Hi.L..I wouldn't worry to much about her eating habits.I have six kids and they all did the same thing. It is most likely her teeth, but alot of kids change their eating habits with every season change too.Maybe you can offer her some finger foods, like cheerios of something like that. As long as she is happy, just go with the flow. She will be just fine.Hope this helped. L.
L.,
The same thing happened with my first son at about the same time. As long as she is happy and seems to be acting herself, I wouldn't worry at this point. She'll be back to eating normal before you know it. She may be getting some more teeth.
