Question About Cradle Cap / Small Bump

I noticed a small pimple-like bump on my one-year old daughter's scalp last week. Mind you, she has lots and lots of hair, so I've dealt with cradle cap in a few areas over the past year. This bump is the same yellow color as cradle cap and I've been monitoring it for a week with no change. It's not red or irritated, so I was just wondering if anyone else could enlighten me?

Hi A.,

I'm going to go a different direction than the other ladies....Cradle cap is simply eczema of the scalp. This is a systemic issue so a topical "anything" just masks symptoms. Tea tree oil like Sonia said will help the symptom (and people are rarely allergic). Allergies are symptoms of a weak immune system...

Nutrition (mostly fruits and veggies) is a critical must. Detoxing will also help with the immune system and if you'd like some information on that, I'll be glad to help. Go to www.go2harmony.healthyhometour.com and just look around.

Hope I helped!

M.

My son had the same problems - we fought cradle cap continuously when he was a baby. Once we thought we were in the clear here come the bumps. My mom called it "cradle cap part two". There were only a few and they didn't stick around for more than a month or two. His hair covered them completely so I decided it wasn't a battle I wanted to fight. They went away on their own.

HI A.,
Congrats on your baby girl. Advice your doc about this bump, which i'm sure you will.Bumps on the head always scare me. But as for cradle cap tea tree oil is really good, but make sure she is not allergic to it, by rubbing a wincy bit on her arm .
hope all is well.
