The Human Society is having an adoption program at the Detroit Zoo this weekend. They will have many of the animals there and the staff is well trained to answer your questions regarding compatabilty with children. Plus, the costs there are very low.

Don't miss the largest off-site adoption event in the country! The Michigan Humane Society and Detroit Zoo will present the 15th annual fall Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo event on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 & 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Michigan Humane Society and more than 20 additional adoption groups will be on-hand with hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits available for adoption.
There is no charge for admission or parking for the event.
Adoption fees and policies are set by each participating group and not by event sponsors. Animals will be adopted only to qualified homes. For health and safety reasons, please leave current companion animals at home.
