I belong to this website called Moms Out Loud and they just did a piece on local pumpkin farms based on reader input. Here's the link: http://www.mykindofmom.com/?p=426. The Flower Mound farm is mentioned.
has anyone ever gone to Pumpkin village in Flower Mound? If so, what did you think? We have always gone to the Big Orange Pumpkin farm in Celina and have loved it but after 2 years I am wondering if we should find a different place. Anyone have any info to share? We live in Frisco and aren't afraid to drive a little bit to get there.
Thanks for everyone's input! We ended up at the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch yesterday and everyone had a great time! The weather was beautiful, we took our own picnic lunch, and my son loved the hay ride and the bounce houses. The best part of the day, it was absolutely free!

Cindy R is right! the original flower mound pumpkin patch is the very best! Tons of stuff for the kids to do and you can get snacks etc...Be sure you don't fall for the imposter!
We are going back to flower mound pumpkin patch for the 3rd time and really enjoy the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going!!
We used to go to Celina for out pumpkin patch outings, but the $7 fee is now too much for our family of 5. We drove out to the Original Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound. (Mapquest directions are a little tricky) We had a great time and both agreed that it was worth the drive. Lots of free fun for the kids and a bunch of cute photo opps. Have fun!
The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Village are literally next door to each other. I have been to them and to the Big Orange Farm. Honestly, I would say the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm is marginally better - just because it is a real farm with animals. If the animals don't matter to you, then the Flower Mound patches are a great place with a little more fun things for kids. I think most people agree the Patch is better than the Village, but like I said they are next door to one another, so you can just drive out there and decide which you prefer as you drive up.
We are going to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch this Saturday. They are awesome!! Be aware though that their neighbors also run a "pumpkin patch" but the original one is the best. It is just a bit further west. Here is the website: www.flowermoundpumpkinpatch.com
We live in Allen and this one is so worth the drive!
I prefer the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina. The BOPF seems to be concerned with the dollar; the PP seems concerned with having a fun time.
