Years ago, my daughter's pre-school sent home baked pumpkin seeds which were absolutely yummy! I have tried to duplicate, but can not. Please send me all your pumpkin seed recipes, including how long and what temp to bake at. Also any other "pumpkin insides" ideas would be great.

I don't have any recipes but I do have a suggestion... Have you called the preschool or her old preschool teacher? She/he would probably be willing to share the recipe with you if you are able to reach them.

Good luck.

lots of protein in them!

One:
1 c pumpkin seeds, rinsed & dried w/paper towels
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
6 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp veg. oil

spread seeds in a single layer on lg baking sheet, roast in 250 degree oven 45 mins, or until seeds are completely dry & lightly browned. large seeds may take longer. in a large bowl, stir together the pumpkin pie spice, salt and 2 tsp of the sugar. set aside. heat oil in lg nonstick skillet over med-hi heat. add the seeds & the rest of the sugar to the skillet, stirring constantly with wooden spoon until sugar melts, about 45 seconds. scrape the seeds into the spice mixture & stir to coat. allow seeds to cool before eating & store in airtight container.

Two: immediately after carving the pumpkin, rinse the seeds thoroughly and blot dry w/paper towels. spread evenly on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 375 degree oven for @ 12 mins, or until they are crisp & slightly browned. salt to taste.
I'd use seasoned salt instead of plain table salt... Tastefully Simple has a fabulous one! :>)

My kids want me to roast pumpkin seeds again this year. Last year was my 1st year, and they were delicious, but I didn't bake them long enough, so they were harder to chew. My jaw would hurt because I ate so many of them! I didn't copy the recipe because it was pretty easy, melted butter mixed with your favorite seasonings. The only thing I can't remember is the temp of the oven and how long. I think 200 degrees for a hr was what one recipe said, but I'm not sure. You should get a lot of recipes, though, from the other moms.

I love baked pumpkin seeds. We've always washed the seeds and sprinkled them on a foil covered baking sheet. Sprinkle them with salt and bake at 350 until they are golden brown. Sometimes they'll start to make a snapping noise. It does take longer than you would think to bake them. Yummy!!

We usually sprinkle them with parmesan and bake them very low, like 250. I can't say how long exactly, you'll be able to tell when they are done by the dryness of them. Sorry I can't be more specific on time, but they are super yummy with the parmesan on them!

cook them on about 325 for at least 45 minutes. make sure to put them on foil on a baking sheet. make sure they are clean of pumpkin yucky. i would then pat them dry with a paper towel after washing them. i would put some salt on them and then cook them. make sure to keep an eye on them so they do not cook too long or get burnt. if you want to spice them up a little try some adobo seasoning which has all kinds of seasoning in this type of seasoning.

We always sprinkled them with seasoned salt and broiled for a slight time - I'll try to get more exact details from my mom if I can.
