Can anyone suggest some good public school in glenview, skokie, wilmette, niles and morton grove? my son is 3 yr old and we r planning to buy a home in these suburbs.
My husband and I are moving to Glenview because of the schools. There is also a website that you can checkout www.greatschools.net. It gives you information about schools and you can compare them.
I actually teach in Morton Grove, in Golf School District 67. Our school has the highest scores in the township this year, I think. That said, as a teacher I must warn you to not base everything on just test scores!!! I live in Skokie, and the schools in our district are good too. Truly, all of the schools in the area are good. Your best bet, if you are concerned about the schools and neighborhoods, is to visit them personally, check out the 'climate' in the area in regards to how people treat each other, and ask lots of questions! You will get a feel for the community so much better that way rather than just looking at test scores.

It depends what you are looking for. But stay away from district 37,it may look good on paper, but it's not! Wilmette district 39 is okay if you don't mind pettiness and shallow people. I grew up in Wilmette, and my experience was not a good one. The academics are good, relatively speaking, but if you don't have a social climber child, he or she will likely have a rough time. Skokie, Niles, and Morton Grove are not as academically prestigious, but many of my friends went to those schools and the diversity is MUCH better. I can't speak for Glenview. Good Luck, it is really tough to navigate the suburban scene, but if you find your nitche, I am sure you and your child will be happy. Hope this helps.

I know you didn't mention Northbrook, however, district 28 is a great school district!!
Hi again - I see you do plan to look in Wilmette - please consider looking 10 minutes more north to Glenoce - it is great community and their grade schools are also rated higher than most other communites but all the areas you list are very good communities.
What our your top three has to have (other than the train) in the community you plan to move in?
