Can anyone recommend any great shampoos that are specifically for swimmers? I'd prefer to have a shampoo that isn't heavily fragranced. I've joined a swimming pool and I want to protect my hair with a great shampoo/conditioner. Thanks

What can I do next?

I work in Aquatics so here are some things that will help your hair.
1. Use a swim cap
2. If you do not wnat cap, we your hair with fresh water this prevents the chlorine from drying out you so much.
3. Put some suave conditior in your hair before you get in, you have to wet your hair first.
4. Use baking soda to strip your hair, put desired amount of regular shampoo then add some soda, combine in your hand then wash hair as normal. Be careful the soda will make you hair stiff if not followed by a conditioner. Also do not use the soda every day.

Protect your ears by using half white vinegar and alcohol, this the recipe for swimmers ear. This will keep your ears from infection, this a preventive not a cure for ear infections caused by water in ear.

Have fun hope it helps.

Arbonne does not have a swimmers shampoo, but we have a pool and we swim almost every day, and we use Arbonne's shampoo. IT is wonderful! They have no chemicals, dyes, or frangrances in their products, they work wonderful. They also have an amazing product in thier sun-care line, called
To The Rescue, Hair Protectant(Enjoy the sun and water without the worry of dry, damaged hair with this conditioning spray that also works as a detangler while maintaining a natural, healthy luster.). The two of the products work wonderful together and will keep your hair healthy and shiny.

You can email me if you have any questions or would like to try either. C. E, ____@____.com

Salon Cheveux in Bedford carried a great one, I wonder if they still do.

I am a stylist and one of the best things you can do to prevent too much absorption of chlorine, is to soak your hair in regular water before getting in the pool.
