We're considering moving here. Do you love it...or hate it? What's going on with the new road construction/zoning?

What can I do next?

As a Realtor in McKinney who works in the Prosper area as well I get asked that question all the time. Really what it boils down to is your life style and what you are looking for. Prosper has some of the top rated schools in the area. If you have kids and are looking for smaller schools especially high school then this is the place for you.

We live in Prosper, and we love it. It grew up fast, and yet it still has a bit of the small town charm. Taxes are high, but I don't think that is unique to Propser. Schools are great.

Road construction is all around us, Preston will be a 4 lane highway, not looking forward to that.

I have lived in Prosper for 16 years and love my neighborhood. Don't know what subdivision you are looking at, but we are in the smallest houses, the oldest addition and I know most of my neighbors and a lot of the kids. I think any where you go, you make it what you want it to be. I walk my dogs and know other dogs names and there owners in case they are out. Town Council and code enforcement, I think are like any other town, you fight to get what you want. I do love it and hope to live out the rest of my life there.

We moved to Prosper three years ago and absolutely love it! We traded big, new house in Frisco with a postage stamp yard for a small, old house with over an acre for a yard. The change for our family has been incredibly positive.

One of my good friends from our old Frisco neighborhood moved to Prosper this past fall. We got together last week and I was asking her if there was anything she missed about our old neighborhood and her answer was NO!

Life is more laid back. People are friendly, all of my neighbors wave when we pass each other on the road. Every time I am back driving in Frisco, I am quickly reminded of how much I appreciate about Prosper.
