What is her age? What type class is "quest"? Scientific, mathematical, problem solving? Need more info. My granddaughter (age 11/12) has had several "inventions" for classes, but it has to be based on her age, interests.
My daughter has an invention that she has to come up with for her quest class...help please i can't seem to come up with anything.

Your daughter has to come up with an invention and you can't come up with anything? Maybe I don't understand how this works... But, isn't it her project? I'd suggest she go to the library and rifle through books, talk to teachers/guidance counselor, pay closecloseclose attention to every detail of everyday life to come up with and inspiration. I'm sure she'll come up with something GREAT!
I have to say it. It's your daughter's project. She needs to use her brain to come up with the invention. She will learn absolutely nothing from the project if you do it for her. Encourage her to think about something fun or silly that would make her life easier.
It sounds like SHE needs to get cracking. You coming up with something isn't how life works. When her boss gives her a project to do, you aren't going to be able to do that either. Let her come up with something. It's not your job to do it for her.
Does it have to really work, or just hypothetically?
I don't see how this is your problem! It's your daughter's project. She's in quest. She needs to do the work, not you. I'm a teacher...it's your daughter's problem. Good luck!
You and your daughter could google inventions, science projects and , etc and see what you find... do you have pets? maybe an outdoor "doorbell" for cats/dogs. a noisemaker they could "bump" instead of scratching at the door to let you know they want in.... or something for the car and long car rides.... or ....
I hate to sound harsh, but it's not you that needs to come up with anything; it's your daughter. While I think you should help her in areas she really needs it, she would not be in this class if she wasn't capable of doing the assignments. If she's having trouble coming up with something, have her consult with her teacher. Besides, I'm sure you've got enough on your plate without having to worry about your daughter's homework!
