I wouldn't wait for your appointment to call your doctor. Call today. While it is most likely nothing, it's always better to be safe than sorry when pregnant.
I am 26 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Needless to say, this pregnancy has been very different than my first. For one, this little guy makes me feel like my insides are a punching bag... I really don't remember this much movement with my daughter. I also noticed twice now over the past two days that I have had a little spotting. Nothing major and no cramping so I'm not terribly concerned. I have an OB appointment this week so I'll be sure to bring it up with her then. However, here is my question... could all this extra movement cause spotting? I have looked online and in my pregnancy books and most say 2nd and 3rd trimester spotting is pretty benign and most of the causes are unknown. I was just wondering if a baby's movements could bring it on. I certainly feel like I'm bruised on the inside!

I don't think this is a stupid question...
if you are concerned, call your OB, even though you had an appointment this week, call.
My youngest son, I swore, was going to be an acrobat when he was inside me...oh MY WORD! he moved all over the place. You could see his foot stretching out sometimes...
My son was a freaking raging ninja in my stomach. You could literally see what body part was slamming against my stomach. All the doctor's in my OB's office would come into the room during ultrasounds and non-stress tests and marvel how active he was!! I had numerous doctors tell me he was the most active baby they have ever seen. I never did have any spotting the whole pregnancy. I would think if anyone had spotting due to movement, it would surely be me!! I don't think it's related, personally. (Doesn't mean I can't be wrong, though.) I do feel it is worth bringing it up with your Dr, but it's not something to worry over.
Good luck!!!
Have you had sex recently? Sometimes that can cause spotting. I would call your doctor just in case.... spotting is always a cause for concern during pregnancy, I think. My doctor always asked at every OB appointment if I had any bleeding (I never did), so it must mean something.
I heard 24-28 weeks is most active time. I would call re spotting.
Once you know you're pregnant, I think spotting always deserves at least a phone call to the doctor. Just to make sure. It is not at all likely that you are spotting because your child is moving around a lot; your body is designed to handle the beatings of the baby it holds (even if it feels unpleasant). I doubt the two things are related.
