My 3 yr old son is in a tumbling class which has 2 young instructors (in their mid to late 20's). There is a woman and man and the last class is next week. THis is the 2nd time my child has been in the class so the last day I wanted to get them something but not sure what....he isn't that close to them but they are very nice. Any thoughts? Thank you!

What can I do next?

I would not get them anything...the whole deal of buying gifts for everyone that people ever come in contact with is out of hand....teacher's aids, bus drivers, milk men, etc. This is these people's jobs...

I taught full time dance/tumbling lessons for 4 years and never expected a gift from anyone for anything!

Personally, I wouldn't give them anything, but if you insist, how about a Starbucks GC?

I know you asked "what" to get them, not "should" you get them a present, but I personally wouldn't get them a present for just teaching a course. I agree with a pp that gifts have gotten out of hand. I'm sure you paid good money for the class. At the end of the session, I would just give them a heartfelt thanks.

I'd bake them something (cookies, brownies) & then have my kids color a picture or make a card.

I agree with a Starbucks gift card. Even for non coffee drinkers, it's a great little something.

If you feel you must get them a gift, I'd go with the gift card - something mainstream so the chance of them being able to 'gift themself' is good.

I probably wouldn't give a gift either, but if you want to give something, I like the coffee gift cards idea. You could even just put five dollars on them, and tape them inside a homemade card. I have done the cookie idea before... homebaked and on a paper plate wrapped in clear wrap w/ a bow on top... but if they are particularly health minded, they may not eat stuff like that. I used to give gifts to all the coaches/ instructors, but w/ 4 kids now, 3 of which play year-round sports, I have stopped. In the past, I've given everything from silver whistles, (look in the camping/ hunting isle), to sporting goods G.C.s.

I'm a tumbling instructor and my favorite gifts have been pictures personally made by the child! There's no need to go out and buy something, but a drawing and/or a small note of appreciation means more than anything else. I have a folder with all the pictures drawn from my kids over the years :)

A handwritten thank you card from you and pictures drawn by your kids. The present thing for people doing their jobs has got to stop. While it helps the economy, it won't help you pay for the next class which will give someone a job.
