We are relocating to California this summer from Chicago and are looking for a home in one of the above areas. I am looking for preschool recommendations for my 3 1/2 year old son.

We are at an amazing Preschool in Orinda...called TOPS. It is a Coop- so you have to work about once a month, but well worth it! So much fun and great teachers! Both of my boys go here and LOVE it!

my kids went to preschool in Oakland, but a friend of mine whose twins attended the White Pony Preschool in Lafayette highly recommended it - it's a Montessori type school and she said their prices were more reasonable than similar programs in the area. http://www.meherschools.org/programs.html
In Lafayette - Seedlings Preschool is wonderful. Next to Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church but not a church school - has kids of all faiths. Reasonable fees, longer hours than most, fabulous teachers. Have had four kids there and they love it. www.lopc.org/seedlings.asp
