Hi M.,
You should definitely try Bright Horizons and some private daycares. The yellow pages has some good listings and make sure you go and observe to get a good feel for the place.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone...
I'm trying to be proactive and at least look into/research preschools in the area for my daughter who is 19 months old. I'd love to get her into a program for 2 year olds if I can find one...most seem to be 2 1/2.
Does anyone have any recommendations for preschools in the Lincoln Park area? I've looked into some but don't want to spend $700/month.
Thanks!

I had a hard time finding 2's programs as well. We did preschool for my now 4.5 year old at the Day School at the Fourth Presbyterian Church (on Michigan Ave.). Its excellent. Its a playbased program so you have to be comfortable with that but its the warmest and most nurturing environment. We loved it and will send my 1 year old there. You have to apply and get in (I have no idea what criteria are) so hurry. They let you know in Feb/March, I think. Good luck!
chalk and it's a great school
Try Lovebugs on Larabee North of Division. Lisa the director and teacher is warm and creative.
I am looking too for my 20 month old, my nearly four year old attends a Montesouri three times a week and they do a 2 year old programmes which you attend with them.We live near Irving park brown line stop, its a short bus ride, let me know if you are interested I can send you the details, its not too pricey they do lots of fund-raising to keep costs down.
