I am fairly new to the Tulsa area. I have a 2 part question. #1- I am looking for a school around 61st & Union. Preferably a public school. I have been researching & have found Remington Elementary School. They have a 4 year old program. Does anyone know of any others in the area? Does anyone's children go to Remington? I have no idea how far in advance I need to contact the school to get my twin girls enrolled, what all is involved, etc so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a year until my girls turn 4. #2- In the mean time I am looking for a preschool that has a 3 year old program. I am guessing that this would be a daycare/preschool. Since I have twins it can't be very expensive. I currently work from home but just can't seem to fit in work with taking care of the house, kids, etc. I think I may need to separate the two so I can work more hours & make more money. My husband is attending school and working full time so I am responsible for all the household duties, etc. I also think it would be good for my girls to be around other children and learn at the same time. Any advice on schools, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's been a few years since I've had contact with Remington but my past expierences were WONDERFUL. I worked as a social worker in the area and they were always concerned about the kids I was serving and seemed very compassionate. Judy Fesendenton (I never spell it right!) was the prinicple at the time (I imagine she still is) and she is one of the best educators I have ever met. While I don't have first hand expierence on their pre-school program, I would be more than comfortable placing my child there. Good luck! A.

ABC & Me is a great preschool. It is at Berryhill Baptist Church, not too far from Remington. (on w. 41st St. between 57th W. Ave. and 65th W. Ave.)
She could attend anywhere from 1 to 3 days per week. (9:30 to 2:30)

I'm not sure about Remington although I have heard really good things about it. Robertson Elementary is also an option for you.
