Hi Moms (and Dads)
I'm looking into preschools for my 4 year old son and possibly my 2 year old daughter to attend in the fall. First and foremost, the school has to be a safe and nurturing environment. We recently moved here from out-of-state and know nothing about the schools here (Keller/North Fort Worth). Any suggestions or feedback? Thank You

C., April's list IS great! (Thanks, April!) I chose to stay a little closer to home and enrolled my little girl in Messiah Lutheran. She will start in the fall, but I loved the people there. I think it will be great, and she is beyond excited!!

Where did you move here from? We moved here from Northern CA 2 1/2 years ago. Good luck with the preschool hunt!

We live in Heritage which is in Keller/NFW. I have a four year old son and a two year old daughter that attend the Children's Lighthouse on Shiver Road ###-###-####. My son has been there for two years and my daughter started last August. They love it! The staff is really supportive and they have an open door policy. We feel like it is more of a school than a daycare because they teach the ABEKA curriculum. The change in my daughter has been amazing. She had only been there a few weeks when she learned the alphabet and my son can spell his name. Not only have they nutured my children but they have instilled in them a love of learning. I can't say enough great things about the program.

My daughter will be attending First Baptist Keller Kids again this fall in their 3 day a week program. I moved to this area last summer, so by the time I got around to looking, I asked for advice and did 4 interviews. I like this one best...The teachers are all grown, mature adults and are great with the children. They also have a 2 day a week program too! The Director is Cathy Davidson! She is a wonderful lady!

I just have to put in my 2 cents... I live in Keller (Hidden Lakes) and after checking all the schools out... the one I finally settled on was Noah's Ark Preschool in Colleyville (like an 8 minute drive for me)... it's WONDERFUL. The staff are so sweet and I like their prices -- one of the cheapest! They are also, one of the best (IMO). Their director is a WONDERFUL woman named Jan Wise. They have an awesome program that is 2 days a week or 3 days a week (you choose) for the younger. The older ones are 3 days a week and you can add another day on for a special science type lab class on one more day... They are just WONDERFUL. e-mail me off list if you need / want any other info - I compiled a list of preschools in this area

Hi C.,

I have a four year old son (almost 5) who has attended Messiah Lutheran on Whitley Rd for the past three years. It is a very nurturing place and we just love it. He learns great christian songs and comes home every day with new ones. They have learning time, chapel time, play time...it is a wonderful, wonderful place. However, with that said, I believe they are working off waiting lists now since they are full but lots of things can change. Best of luck to you!
