Hi,
I am looking for a good program for my 2 1/2 year who is not yet potty trained. She needs to be stimulated but it seems most of the centers I have visited lack structured learning activities and/or I am not too pleased with the staff. The staff seem to look at their position as a real "job" and don't seem to have joy in teaching and caring for children. Please advise if you know of any good programs in the area.

What can I do next?

well my advice to you is to do your research. I have an 18 month-old an I have him enrolled in day care called Youthland Academy. they take babies from 6 weeks to 6 years full or part time. They also have after school activities fo school age children. there she will get stimulated there is always stuff going on. Some daycares have a schedule posted up so you can see what your child is doing during the day. But as i said before do your research. By the time my toddler gets home, he is tired and wants to go to sleep try it and let me know how it works. And welcome to OHIO!! I am new to this state also so let me know how it turns out!

Hi L.,
It's been a few years since my son attended this preschool but we were very pleased with it. Good luck with your search.

My dd went to the King of Kings "Moms Day Out" program last year and loved it! http://koklcms.blogs.com/ecem/ They're on Socialville Foster Rd near the Columbia Rd intersection.

We joined later in the school year (missed the first couple weeks of school) but it wasn't a problem. This year she's in the 3-yr-old program and loves it too!

HTH!

There is a preschool off of Irwin Simpson (near Deerfield Town Center). Its called Cincinnati Montessori school (or something like that). Many of my neighbors send their children there and rave about it. There are very few non religious preschools/non daycare out there. Cincinnati Country Day in Indian Hill has a preschool starting at 2 and Seven Hills school off of Redbank has classes for 3 and up. If you are looking for something religious, many of the churches have preschools also.
