Klein-Spring Montessori is excellent.. it's off of Strack road.. I brought my twins there when they were 4 to get them ready for Kindergarten.. they went 2 days/week for several months and they loved it!!
Preschool advise for my 2 year old son... He has never been in a daycare, gets tutoring once a day/4 days/week and participates in Gymboree Play & Music... He is use to one on one and is very spoiled... I'm just starting to mentally condition myself to send him to preschool for at least ounce a week. Or maybe, twice, but I'm not sure if that would be pushing it??? And, I would like the names of some highly recommended preschools in Spring/The Woodlands, Texas area. Please... I need all the advise I can get! Thank you.
I would like to thank all the MOMS that responded. I have looked into all the schools and I will be making my decision soon. Thank you once again!

My grandson goes to Faith Bible Church on Research Forest. Lots of Love!!
I agree with others it is important for you to visit different ones to find the right fit.
I have also heard that ELP is also a great school. I actually went on a tour of the school and was very impressed. I believe that registration has already passed but it wouldn't hurt giving them a call. Here is their website and information.

Resurrection Lutheran in Spring is great. The staff has been there for decades so there's not a lot of turn over. The program is great and gets your children ready for K when the time comes. You'll just love the facility and the teachers and director. I'm not a religious person at all but love this place. They have programs for once a week 2 year olds, then TTH or MWF programs for 3 & 4 year olds. They are filling spots fast for their new fall program. So you better act quickly. Both my kids went there and you should see how well they have adjusted to elementary school. My oldest is 8 and loves school, it comes so easy for him, he knows how to make/keep friends, and is great in sport but loves his time on the computer and WII as well. My 5 yr old dt is just the same way. Great foundation will send them off on the right path.
The 2 year old program is not a day care, it really is a "preschool" environment. Now you can supplement that with thier MDO program which is also available on a different day. The cost is very competitive, much better than any other private facily and probably in line with daycare only facility,. but you get so much more.
Hi M.,
My 4 year old goes to Christ Church Preschool and they have a MDO program as well. It really is a good school and is off of Research Forest.
I recently enrolled my 2 year old in the Spanish Schoolhouse for the fall. It is a Spanish immersion preschool as one of the women noted. I am pretty sure they are not full so you would be able to enroll your child without waiting.
As far as which one to choose that depends on your goals. I want my children to learn Spanish early and that is why I chose SSH.
Good Luck,
H.
We have had great experiences at Children of the Woodlands (The Woodlands United Methodist Church) and Children of Joy (Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church). Interfaith is also a great preschool, but people camp out over night to make sure they get their kids in.
You should pick three or four to visit and see how they feel to you. Children of the Woodlands is a larger school while Children of Joy is more intimate.
The problem you may run into is that many preschools in the area have already completed the registration process in Feb. and Mar. They may be full. You should call to confirm this. If they are full, you should get on the waiting list. Lots of people move, etc. during the summer so your child may get in.
Good luck!
We really like Grace Crossing Academy on the corner of 1488/I-45. They have a great program.
We send our girls to First Baptist Child Development on Grogan's Mill they love it/we love it. I believe they offer full-time and 2 or 3 day a week programs. We use the full-time. Before we needed full-time care our girls went to Living Word Lutheran Church--their Mother's Day out program is called Little Gospel Light. They were also great and at least use to offer 2, 3, or 5 day s a week. If I remember right, the class day ran from 9-2. When we started we only had our oldest, she had lots of problems separating from me and they were very patient and caring. Good luck.
I am not sure if it is close enough, but Northwoods Presbyterian Church (on 1960) has a preschool that is fantastic. The teachers have all been there for a long time, and they are used to helping parents and children adjust to school. They also have very flexible days and times. You can look at www.northwoods.org for more information.
Hi M.-
It sounds like you would be looking for more of a mothers day out program than preschool at this point. Most churches offer an MDO program. In The Woodlands I've heard wonderful things about Early Learning Program (ELP). My neighbor just recently opened a spanish immersion preschool called Spanish Schoolhouse in The Woodlands. I'm considering that for my youngest when I'm ready for him to go to school.
Good Luck,
K.
