My son has attended both Small Blessings and Discovery Days. I don't have any complaints about either of them. Good luck.
Okay mommas, I have narrowed it down to four schools for my girls who will be 2 and 3 next fall. Please let me know if your children attend, have attended, or you know anything about these schools. I want the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Small Blessings- Christ the Servant
Rainbow Days- St Jude
Discovery Days- First Baptist Allen
Joyful Beginings- First Presby Church Allen
Thanks so much for all the great advice. We ended up deciding on GEM express in Allen. It has been a wonderful decision. Both of my girls are doing wonderful and I love the their teachers.
My son has attended both Small Blessings and Discovery Days. I don't have any complaints about either of them. Good luck.
My daughter goes to Rainbow Days and we love it. The teachers and staff are so loving and nurturing. She has truly blossomed since the start of school. I highly recommend them. They are currently doing community registration. If you are interested, you should contact them soon, they tend to fill up fast. I have also heard great things about First Baptist in Allen. Good luck.
If you are not just set on a church school you can not find a better preschool the Primrose Schools. I know the ones in Plano (Primrose School of Forest creek and Primrose School of North Plano) offer part time programs.
Good Luck
Hi A.,
My 4 year old daughter has been at Rainbow Days since last year. We were wait listed and decided not to pursue another program. If she got in, great, if not then that was one more year at home with her. Either way we were happy. We got a call about a month after school had begun and have been very happy ever since. Next year, she'll be in the 5's program, our 3 year old daughter wil be in the 3's and our 2 year old daughter will be in the 2's. We aren't members of the church, but I was first in line to sign up when registration was open to the community. If you're considering it, I would recommend finding out the date and showing up 10 minutes prior to it opening up. They've been doing this for quite a while and are VERY GOOD at what they do. Honestly, I would try to get to all of the registrations just in case!!!!
Good luck. If you do get to St. Jude, maybe our kiddos will be in the same class!!

My daughter goes to Cottonwood Creek Kid Care at 121 and Stacy Rd. I am so pleased with her teachers. She is one of the top kids in her class and is ready for kindergarten. They have classes from 9-2.
My son loves Rainbow Days. Ms Liz and Ms Sherry are wonderful. My son has so much fun there and he has learned so much. We are also sending our 2yr old daughter in August. The church programs fill fast (for good reason), so I would contact places as soon as possible.
my son goes to FUMCA (first united methodist church) east Allen off of Greenville called Children's Creative Playday and we really love it.
We go to church at st. Jude so out of your choices I'd choose Rainbow days-- they fill quickly and both have already started their registration process for next year.
I don't have any input on those schools, but I see a great school missing from your list. GEM Express at Grace Church. My daughter goes there and my son is starting in the fall. Out of all the places I have checked into, this one is heads above the rest. It probably doesn't help you to have another added to your list, but when I find something that I truly love I always pass it along. Here is the contact information:

The director is Diana Abbott, ###-###-####. Just for the record, I don't go to church at Grace Church, but I do find that their preschool is one of the best and it has an awesome curriculum.
My three children have gone to Rainbow Days for the past 5 years and I can not say enough wonderful things about the school and their teachers. My oldest started in the 5's class, which is a wonderful program for Kindergarten. My middle child went through the entire program from 2's through 5's and my youngest is currently in the 4's. My husband and I always talk about how we would keep having children just so they could go to school at Rainbow Day :). It is a wonderful loving environment. You can't beat the fact that the school has been around for over 20 years with the same ladies running the program. If it is possible, I think the program has gotten better each year.
Good luck!!!
I don't know anything about these daycares but have you checked out their inspection records with the state? It would list all violations and lists them by severity. The Department of Family Services posts the inspections for the past several years (for some). I'm sorry I don't have the link to share but know you can find it with a quick search.
That really helped me narrow my options when we were looking.
Good luck.
