I moved here from Utah and literally paid $40 a month for preschool, that was two days a week from 9-11:30. My daughter came out of there knowing everything she needed to know for kindergarten. I am wondering if any of you have come across anything like this in the Bryan College Station area. To date I have not. Everything is very costly. Thanks in advace for your advice.

I am in College Station and don't know of any part time preschools. But I am the music teacher at Central Baptist Church's weekday school and it is wonderful. You can check out the info. at the church's website: www.cbcbryan.org

Good luck!!

Use the link below. It will take you to a site that allows you to research school, rates, times open, ages, etc...and includes inspection reports.

We attend Stepping Stone 3 days a week at about $350 a month, and love it. But the best I've heard for being school ready is Longmire Learning Center. I've know some kids come out ready to skip Kinder and started first grade. But you are not going to fond $50 a month around here. Be glad you are here. I have friends in Houston and Dallas paying $1000 a month for full time care. Good Luck!

My son went to Christ United Methodist School for Little People. He loved it! As the other mom said, it was way more than $40/month. He went from 9-1:30, 4 days a week and it was $280. I have never heard of daycare as cheap as you had in Utah! That must have been awesome.
Good luck

H., the days of $40 Pre-K in B/CS are gone. 10 years ago I had my oldest at a $60 a month place for 2 days a week (9-3).

Try Sonshine school. They go from infants to 5yo. I do not know the pricing as I only work there and my kids are in elementary. They are located at AandM church of christ.

Also St. Joe's, St. Anthony's, and St. Thomas Aquinas all have MDO programs. THere are lots around town but do not expect to pay less than $100 a month. Sorry! St Thomas Aquinas has one of the best reputations in town, as well as St. Thomas Episcopal.

If you want more of a traditional Pre-K Allen Academy (but EXPENSIVE) and several montessori schools- none of who's names are coming to my brain at the moment.

Good Luck!
