Bought the Virgin Mobile plan at Target and have not had any problems. We were using ATT and had more dropped calls than I ever have now.
Does anyone living the the Chicagoland use a smart phone from Walmart Straight Talk or Virgin Mobile? I'm thinking of finally getting a smart phone, and the only way I can stomach the cost is to go with one of the prepaid plans.
How is the service? Living in the Midwest, I understand that dropped calls are a big problem. I currently use Verizon, and my cell phone service is pretty good. I'm wondering how it compares to Straight Talk or Virgin. Also, were you able to keep your old cell phone number?
Any other advice and input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks Debi! I guess the Samsung Galaxy is through Verizon, so I can buy that and use the Straight Talk plan. Off to Walmart!

I have Straight Talk - all inclusive - data plan and txt too. No dropped calls and I kept my old number of last 10 years! I have it or a while and I extend by 6 months at a time. Very happy no issues and faster than my Sprint or AT&T. My office phone is still on Sprint.
Good Luck with your decision.
I don't live in Chicago but am very pleased with my Virgin Mobile service. It runs off the sprint network so if there is good sprint coverage near you, it should work. And I did keep my phone number when I switched.
