Ladies.....I am expecting and my skin is a disaster area. I have very sensitive skin. I wear little to no makeup. When I do wear it, I wear mineral make up and it does not seem to aggravate breakouts at all. I wash with Cetaphil cleanser and use Arbonne's sunscreen/ moisturizer. My skin feels dry and scaly, mostly on my cheeks, but I'm breaking out all over. I never really had problems skin or breakouts...until now. Any recommendations.....I'm staying away from the no-no's Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinoids, and Beta Hydroxys/ Salicylic Acid. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I sympathize... I'm getting bothersome pimples all along my hairline, forehead and around my mouth and nose. GRRR I've not had so many zits since 10th grade. I'm 5.5 months along with #2 and I don't recall getting many zits with #1... must be from the extra hormones since this one is a boy,

My skin was HORRIBLE when preg with my son.
I'm sorry to say that nothing helped. It was hormonal, and the only thing that fixed it was not being pregnant anymore.

My best success was to do a night hot compress on the most broken out areas. It at least draws everything towards the surface of the skin, so anything you do use topically will have a better chance to work.
For the record, I used BP and Sal Acid throughout 2 pregnancies with no issues. They're both safe.

Mario Badescu makes a product called Buffering Lotion (containing Sulfur) which did wonders for the cystic acne that I had.

It worked when nothing else did.

I love the stuff I've been using for almost 7 years now. When you're told at 56 that you look 20 years younger...

Here's a link to a video to learn more - http://www.video.me/ViewVideo.aspx?vid=399344

Below the video is an additional link to the product itself where you can read the labels and learn even more.

:( I know how you feel! I'm four months pregnant and in the same boat. My skin is breaking out everywhere and is super dry all the time. My hair is flat and limp, and I look like hell.
Which is a total turn-around from my first pregnancy. I had clear skin, volumptuous hair, and I felt glowing and beautiful.
Sorry to say, but nothing has helped me this time around. I do love the Mary Kay products, but Velocity just made my skin redder and drier when I used it. I'm using the original oil-free Neutrogena right now, with a gentle spf moisturizer in the morning, don't wear any facial make up (only eye makeup once in awhile), and I eat very healthy.
:( I wish I could help.
