Pregnancy Issues - Ellwood City,PA

Was spotting Monday. Had ultrasound yesterday and they said they couldn't see a heartbeat. Doctor says miscarriage is 90%. Wanted to do a D&C but I don;t want that. If there is a chance this baby could survive. Letting nature take its course. Had little cramping and a little more spotting. Praying that I will go to my appointment next week and they will find a heartbeat. Trying to be positive and rest and pray. Anyone have any success stories with preventing miscarriage. I have a 4 year old too that I am trying to be strong for as well. I guess just looking for some feedback/ encouragement.

What can I do next?

I don't have any experience with this, but I will pray for you. You are right to believe that God can heal. He can, he has, and he will.

Lean on Him, He is a mighty fortress.

All my best.

Gosh I"m real sorry... I don't know how far along you are in your pregnancy.
I had that happen to me once, at 6 weeks.
But in my case, I was bleeding progressively... went to the Doc, did an ultrasound, and there was a faint heartbeat, but I was bleeding.
I had to go back to the Doc 2 days later.
At that point, with the ultrasound, there was no heartbeat and the sac, was empty. I saw it myself.
I then had an in office D&C.
I was alone at the time, by myself at that time of the appointment.
My daughter was 3 at the time.
She was at home with grandma.

For you, well you are to go back in next week to the Doc.
Maybe it will be okay then. Who knows.
I don't know of a way to prevent a miscarriage.
I recommend, that when you go back to the Doc next week... have your Husband with you if you can. But don't bring your eldest child.
Just in case.

Will pray for you.

There is no way to prevent a miscarriage.

Did the doctor mean he/she was 90% sure that you've had a miscarriage? In that case, I would've waited another week, too. I'd want them to tell me they know 100% before taking any action.

When I found out I'd had my first miscarriage, the doctor gave me the choice of a D&C or to wait to see if my body would expel everything on its own. I waited almost 3 months. I was still bleeding on and off so I finally had the D&C. It was no fun, but I was back to normal very soon.

I've had two miscarriages. One that required the D&C and one that cleared within a few days all on its own. Both times I was pregnant again quite soon, and now I have a daughter.
