So What Happened?

She has a doctors appt, next Monday to see what will happen! They are very excited. They were actually saving the money to get a reversal so I really hope that all goes well!!! Thanks to everyone who has told me what they know on the subject! :)

I know almost nothing about this topic...however, I have been researching pregnancy after a vasectomy and have come across your question many times. I can say that I'm easily side tracked and have read bits and pieces, here and there and nothing stands out. If you go to ask.com you can literally type in your question and see what comes up. Good luck to your friend! She's lucky to have you

The only risk is the higher chance for an ectopic (sac in the tube, not uterus) due to scar tissue from the TL. How does she feel about this pregnancy? My first thought was, wow, she is lucky! I had a TL 3 years ago, have regretted it deeply, and after a solid year of heartache and pain, my husband and I have decided to pursue IVF, hoping for one more child. I would love to do it the natural way like we did twice before! Then again, if she is truly done and had the tubal because of that, I can totally understand her being upset. Good luck to her and hope it works out!

My dr. said that this can happen around 1 in 400 women. Its happened in their practice. Sometimes the tubes heal themselves. I would think that it would be a normal pregnancy as long as the fetus isn't IN the tubes.
