Can birth control fail? Yes.
Did you have sex? If so, you could be pregnant.
Should you ask strangers without crystal balls or your doctor? Tough choice, I know...
I have been on the implanon implant for about 2 years. My periods have been regular but I am now about 3 weeks late and still no sign of a period. I have had some cramps and tender breasts so I took 2 home pregnancy test and they were both negative. I dont know if I should worry or not?

My daughter got pregnant on birth control 2 different times. Nothing but abstinence is perfect.
There's no such thing as 100% birth control. If you had sex then you could be pregnant. To rule it out you need to go see your OB/GYN and get a blood pregnancy test.
A missed period can be caused by many things other than pregnancy. I suggest making an appointment with your doctor if you don't have period in next couple of weeks. In mean time try not to worry.
I think I'm lucky because my periods were never regular. Eventually I was diagnosed with endometriosis and then with fibroids. Stress and extended extreme physical exercise can interfere with periods. Anything that affects hormones also interveres. Often we never know why we miss a month. Nearly always we're OK.
It could be a number of things. Without panicking, you should assume you could possibly be pregnant and watch things like alcohol and medications. If you've taken 2 home pregnancy tests, I wouldn't spend any more money on them right now. You can wait it out, or call your doctor, whichever helps you the most. Your doctor could do a more accurate pregnancy test but also give you an exam or run additional tests as indicated. But you could also just have some hormonal imbalance and simply have a late period. It happens.
What does your doctor say?
