Prayer Request - Severe Preemie

Dear fellow mamas,

Please pray for a dear friend of mine, whose wife has developed severe preeclampsia at 22 weeks. For the sake of the mother, they must deliver the baby in the morning and have given the baby about a 6% chance of survival. I can't even imagine how scared they must be, but I have had a child in the NICU before, so I know the heartache must be tremendous.

**It's Tuesday morning, and we are still awaiting an update from my friend. I am hoping that the lack of an update does not mean that something bad has happened. Thank you all for the prayers.**

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your prayers. My friend's son, Isaac, was born yesterday via c-section. He and his wife were able to hold their son before he passed away this morning.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation, or have any words of advice on how to help them through it. I've never met the wife, and they live in a different state, but we've been friends since we were 5 years old so I'd like to find some way to honor their son's life.

I got goosebumps just reading this. I can not imagine her pain, I will pray for her! While it is hard to accept, the Lord works in mysterious ways and we do not always understand it, but we can not change it
My thoughts are with her and her family

Positive thoughts and prayers headed their way. God only gives us what we can handle and while we do not always see the "reason", he has a plan. Please keep us posted. With hope and love, M.

I will keep her in my prayers. I too had to deliver my daughter early due to preeclampsia. She was about 8 weeks early, she made it to almost 32 weeks. she was only 2 lbs 1 1/2 oz when she was born. she stayed in the NICU for 6 weeks and she is now 18 months old, 20 lbs, and totally healthy. so, miracles DO happen - remember that.

God bless.

God bless that family, they will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. I could never imagine the fear they must be facing but out of the most terrible situations can come the most amazing blessings.

Definitely keeping your friend in my prayers. I delivered 24 week old twins who survived. My friends were always encouraging , letting me cry, complain, scream, gave me hugs, been there for me, left me messages on my answering machine, wrote me notes....still to this day. I strongly encourage you (which I know you will do) to be their for this family. It is hard and scarey. Definitely keeping your friends in our prayers.

PRAYERS, PRAYERS HEADED HER WAY. We know how painful this must be. With God's help we hope it will be a healthy baby. My sister in law recently lost her baby of fifteen days. It is so painful. Please let us know what happens.

Just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking about and praying for your friend. What a terrible situation to be in, but let's hope the baby falls into that 6% chance. Sending hugs their way.
