HI A.,
Well I have found that regaudless of what they say you should still take them. For instance kind of make a schedule for it, when she wakes up, another time at 12, then at 3 or 4, then before bed..(sit her there for about five min even if she doesnt go). i have found that this really works. After a while she will start going at the "scheduled time" and she will start to tell you at un-scheduled time

My oldest was 3 before she would use the potty - mainly because she was too busy and she NEVER minded a wet diaper, pullup, or panties. The only thing that worked for her was for us to take about a week and just stay home, and for her to walk around with naked from the waist down. She didn't mind wet panties, but she HATED having it just hit the floor - so....she would go to the potty. After about a week of this she was trained. Good luck!

I agree w/M., As far as I can remember when I had trouble going to the bathroom when I was little my mother would turn on the faucet and the let the water run and made water/peeing sounds which would make me want to go everytime.

Good Luck!

Hi A.,
My son was the same. I never thought I would get him trained and he wasnt totally potty trained until 3 1/2. I tried everything. Several friends that had older kids and some of my clients that had grandchildren would tell me-"everything is okay, he will do it when HE is ready"- well I thought he should have been ready.
Honestly, it worked just like that, one day he woke up and said "I need to use the potty" and that was it. There were a few accidents, and he still wets the bed maybe once a week, but he is trained.
I tried every trick in the book--from candy to letting him run around naked all day to making him just sit and sit. I was getting very stressed about it.
So my advice is just keep doing what your doing and she will do it when SHE is ready. No kid goes off to Kindergarten wearing diapers.

start sitting her on the potty while running the bath water and talk to her while waiting. Wait until she goes. Sometimes the sound of water helps to get the urge to get going. Good Luck!!
