Potty Training Seat for Big Toliet or "Little Potty"??

I love the Baby Bjorn potties. they are sturdy and just the right size. They are no-frills and don't have anything weird to distract from the actual task at hand. Super easy to clean too! I have the seat that fits on the big toilet and also the larger of the 2 kiddie potties (the one with the removable part to dump).
My DD likes both. She uses the kiddie potty because it is easy for her to pee in by herself. She uses the seat on the big toilet for #2...she likes to flush it and say bye-bye LOL

My 2 had their own tiny potty so I could sit on my potty and hey on theirs, simultaneously. My daughter was trained at 10 1/2 months and my son at 13 months.

My son has always leaned more towards going on the big toilet, so the potty seat has worked better, although I have both. My 17-month old daughter just won't sit on the little potty long enough - she needs the big toilet and a book while she goes. She's just started going, and we just sit her on there after every meal, and it seems to be working most of the time. She's getting pretty regular. Good luck with it all! Girls train fast, it seems. My boy has been a nightmare! ;o)

I say the little potty. I went straight for the potty seat because I started potty training my son when he was interested in sitting on the potty like mommy and daddy. I figured hey, if he wants to be on the big potty it's less clean up. I ended up buying the little potty after a couple weeks. He really wanted to do things himself and be independent (and what kid from 18 mo. on doesn't want to do things on their own) but it was hard for him to do that on the big potty. He loved having his very own special potty.

Especially with your daughter being so young, I'd say go for the little potty. I've found that oftentimes the younger ones are very intimidated by the big potty. I too am a big fan of the bjorn potty. We do the smaller one that is just one piece of molded plastic...added plus is that it's SO easy to sanitize. It's just 9.99 at BabiesRUs...probably elsewhere too.
