I don't know about that specific program/website, but $24 seems like ALOT of money (a scam) to give just a little advice, that may or may not work on YOUR child. Like someone else mentioned, not every child goes by the book!
7 years ago, I bought a similar book (for about $5) called Potty Training in One Day, and of course was skeptical, but desperate to train my son who was 2 yrs 10 months at the time, and had 7-8 DIRTY diapers a day, and I had a 15 month old also.
So we did the whole weekend of giving him lots of water and juice to drink, staying in the kitchen the whole time, naked as a jaybird, he had plenty of toys and either me or my hubby was always in there with him. Lucky for us at the time, our downstairs bath was just off the kitchen, so no carpeted room to walk through. We put the training potty in the kitchen with him, but he didn't like that thing, wanted to always sit on the big potty! We gave him access to both, and constantly reminded him to tell us when he felt ready to pee or poopy. He seemed to do great (and poop MUCH LESS often) that whole 3 days, with only a couple of accidents. The funny part is that my dtr was also in the kitchen with us alot, running around in her diaper, and she would pull off her diaper and pee in the little potty and also stayed dry the whole weekend! It was too good to be true! She unfortunately reverted back to normal and didn't fully train herself until almost 3 yrs also! But she was my third and I tried not to stress too much, figuring they just do it when ready.
As for my son, he started wearing big boy undies right away and for the most part kept them dry the rest of that week, but then started getting too "busy" to come inside if he was playing. My 4 yr old would come tell me he pooped in his pants AGAIN! That got nasty, cleaning him in the tub, usually having to throw away the underwear or do a really nasty clean up job! So he just went back and forth until he was finally ready to stop soiling himself, a couple of months after 3rd b-day.
I would not spend any kind of real dough on these tricks, as most of it is common sense and probably will not work for most kids. Heed the advice and methods of others you have asked and see what will work.
I will agree that although I went back to Pull-ups for a while, esp at night, with all 3 of mine, they do slow the process down I think. But then again, your kid will not likely be in diapers until he is 5 unless he has some sort of handicap. So just remember that this too shall pass and enjoy them being this small - I miss my "babies" so much now it makes me tear up thinking about it!
All the best,
A.
