My son is afraid of the loud flush that most public toilets seem to have. He goes, and then I have to flush for him.
My daughter has been potty trained at home for almost a year but still refuses to use any other pottys. Not even at my mom's house or places we visit regularly. Any suggestions or help on this type of situation?

my daughter has learned on a child toilet seat that goes onto the regular toilet. If we are going out (aka grandmas, a restaurant, or even big brother's football game,) i take her child's toilet seat. She is comfortable with using it. and the strange toilets wont scare her. hope this helps.
Dear M.,
I agree with the other mom's. The first question is does she go on a potty chair or the big toilet. If she uses a potty chair she may be afraid of the big toilet, the same if she uses the little ring on the big toilet. Keep trying and praise her when she does go.

I had that problem with my oldest. I finally realized that she was afraid of the "big hole" I bought a little seat that folds up that I could carry in my purse and would take it where ever we went. It totally solved the problem. I think they sell them at babiesrus or you can find them online. Here is an example of what I mean... http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=230465...
