So I know I have already asked about the whole potty training thing but NOTHING has seemed to work and i have tried everything possible. My daughter turned 3 in December and has totally regressed. She was doing fine for over 6 months and now its just uncontrolable. I am ready to put her back into pull ups or diapers and then try again when shes ready. I would like some advice on what you guys think. I can't continue having her pee all over my furniture, etc. I already need to call a company and have my couches professionally done because cleaner isn't doing the job anymore. She does not have a problem going #2 on the potty though even if I put a diaper on her she will take to off and go. I just don't know what to do.... :( its very discouraging.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everybody! I have put her back into pull ups and its been going good. She will do it at her own speed and I'm going to let her decide when instead of fighting with it. So far the past couple of days have been wonderful! My couches are dry and No big messes to clean! :)

N., I feel for you, this is frustrating.

Can you tell, is it that your daughter can not feel when she is ready to urinate? Did her diet change just before she became "un-potty trained"?

It sounds as though she's just not ready and is asserting her independence. Put a pull up on her and don't mention it again. She'll soon surprise you and ask if she can go potty. Good luck!! :)

you can get those plastic panties to go over her regular ones or put her back into pull ups and then have her clean herself up when she has an accident, my friend used this with her son that regressed and it did take about a month but it worked

Hi N.,

The only thing that worked with my daughter was a video called "Once Upon A Potty"; they have a version for the boys and 1 for the girls...
I would advise that you get a copy and try it; I've never heard of it not helping...
Hope this helps

Some times it is not worth fighting over! There are 3 things that you cannot MAKE your children do...eat, sleep, and potty. If I were you I would put her in a pull-up and keep asking her if she needs to go potty and put her on the potty at certain times of the day. When she wakes, before she sleeps and before she eats. Those are natural transition times!
God luck!

A friend of ours took the covers off her sofa cushions and all chairs, put the stuffing in a garbage bag and put the covers back on. It kept the juices from soaking in...
Since she takes off her "diaper" to go she is ready to potty train. She knows the urges.
BUT everyone progresses mentally at different rates. Physically she's ready... Maybe not so much emotionally.
Keep putting her on the potty every hour BUT if it is stressing you out then you do need to slack off a bit.
She may be just trying to remind you that she is THE baby.
