I agree - just keep asking. Eventually he'll do it himself. My daughter trained really early, but it took months after she was in full-time underwear before she would consistently go without being reminded.
Hi!
My little boy is 27 months old and we have been working on potty training for a month or so. He is in underwear and is doing great! Many days he has no accidents. The problem is--I have to tell him when to go(every hour or so). When will he tell me?? Do i just stick with it??

I am also training my 25 month old and recently I asked the doctor the same thing. It just sounds like he just isn't there yet but it will come with time. My son told me for the first time today, but in an odd way. We had been using a sticker system to reward him but he wasn't going at home or he was fighting us a bit, he was great about going in public though. So I decided to give him 2 M&Ms if he pottied at home. Well today he jumped up said M&Ms and ran to the potty. He peed and got his M&Ms. I think I conditioned him to want candy when he has to pee!! I thought this was funny. Maybe worth a try ;)
We were setting a timer every hour to remind our daughter. Sometimes that worked, and other times she would sit and not go, and then 5 minutes later go in her pants. I was just about the give up on her, and then aha... the light went out and she started to go on her own. She is stubborn and I guess it had to be on her own timeframe. She has now been 2 weeks in big girl pants and no accidents. She is even staying dry all night. Good luck!!
Keep asking him if he has to go, and eventually he will start telling you. Its a process - Rome wasn't built in a day. Sounds like you guys are doing fine. Good luck!
