We are training our 3 year old DD. She is doing pretty well, but we are going to get one more package of pull-ups for her and then we are going to go to "Pretty Panties". My question is how many pair will I need to have on hand.

What can I do next?

I like to keep a pair in each car, with a set of clothes, just in case. Then I keep a pair and clothes in her backpack that she takes to school. So, I say that I need about 10 pairs or so, for my 2.5 year old. I do laundry several times a week, but it is nice to have a few extra pairs just in case.

Hi M. - You're going to need at least a dozen - you might consider using the "pretty" ones as a reward. My son would pee on purpose just so he could wear a different pair of the character ones. :@ I had to make it so that he got to wear a character pair first thing in the morning but then if he got those wet or dirty, he had to wear plain ones the rest of the day. Make sure to rinse soiled underwear thoroughly before putting them in the laundry basket.

It might feel different with little girl underwear, but my sis gave me a bunch of pairs of her son's first underwear - there had to have been at least 18 pairs of sizes between 2-3. I just laundered them in hot water with bleach and tossed out the ones that weren't in good shape.

Also, if you want character underwear, definitely shop at Wal-mart. Their prices are significantly better than Target or Kohls, etc.

It depends on how much laundry you want to do in a day! I would say at least a dozen pairs, but possibly more. It doesn't hurt to have too much underwear!

When I potty trained both of my girls I took them shopping and let them pick out their first pair. We picked a pack of 7 or 2 4 packs whatever they decided and then we "earned" them. On Monday they got to wear the first pair -- if they went all day with no accidents the next morning they would get a new pair. They still wore the pullups at night in case of accidents. After the first week they were pretty much trained. I don't think you need a bunch of pairs if you have been working on the training. Good luck!

Try 50, then that would give you 10 for 5 days before you had to do laundry again.

I got 2 packs of 6 that she got to pick out. But, I still think that was too much. You could always buy more if you need too. I'm a stay at home mom who does laudry at least twice a week, so she doesn't have a chance to go thru all of the pairs. So really on how often you do laundry will depend on how many pairs you buy.
