Hi T., let your son watch your husband use the restroom and that way he might be persuaded to try it...I was once engaged to a man with a son, and watching his daddy use the big boy potty helped alot...hope this helps

I have a boy and he just decided on his on when he would potty train. Just let him decided. I was going to use summer with the nice outside time to get him going but he beat me to the punch and potty trained himself. Be forewarned though it may be even longer before he is night time potty trained.

Don't pressure him to go! That is extremely frustrating for him and you too! Boys take lon ger to train than girls - my little guy was 3 1/2 before he was trained and he did it almost over night! Try buying him new undies "just like daddies" or his favorite cartoon character! Also, maybe let him stay in his wet "pants" if it is a pullup or in plastic training pants for a little bit! He won't like it and he may start to go in the toilet. Another thing I do for my little girl is to set the timer and let her know that everytime the timer goes off we are going to the potty. also, do NOT ask if he has to go - just say "Let's go potty now". that can help too!I hope this is helpful and GOOD LUCK!!!

HI T.,

I worked in day care for 6 years b4 my first son was born with 2 and 3 year-old I thought I was queen of potty training. I mean I helped potty train tons of kids over the years and my Son was going to be no problem at all. Well I was very wrong we started around his 2nd birthday and it was very stressful on him and myself. Finally My mom (bless her heart) insisted we take a break and just go back to diapers and made me wait tell he was ready it was around 3 1/2 and it was almost like over night he was potty trained I was lucky that was night time as well. My 2nd son i just let him do it on his own as well he was around 3 1/2 too. My third son was just over 2 years old he too did it all on his own. My youngest was not quite 2 when she was potty trained Girls are so much easer. I think it has something to with those pretty little panties. Take it slow don't stress about it. It will happen when the time is right Good luck.

P.S. One more tip i did with my boys was i put those fish that are made to put in the bottom of your bath tub in the toilet it seems to help with aim, gives them something it hit thats not your wall or the floor.
