I believe that my daughter is ready to start potty training. She tells us when she poops and pees but it isn't until after she does it. I see that, plus other things, as a sign that she is ready to get trained. I am pregnant with our second child, due in Oct, and would love to have her out of diapers by then., Any advice would be great, but I am especially looking for the best "potty trained in 3 days" book. I have heard that they work great and am totally willing to try it. I am s a SAHM so I will be able to devote the entire day to her. Thanks for any help!!

I bought real cotton panties for my daughter (she's 3) and it seems to help a lot. In addition to putting her in regular panties, walk her into the bathroom about every 1/2 hour and sit her on the toilet. As she gets older, increase it to once an hour. It'll take a lot of time and effort on your part but it'll be worth it.

Good luck!

I used "The Potty Boot Camp". My friend recommended it for me, and it has worked wonders. www.thepottybootcamp.com You can also get it as an e-book so you have instant access. Goodluck!

my dd is right where yours is, I am really easy going about it though I also stay home so I can devote time but I dont want to scare her w/ too much pressure so I go w/ what she is doing at the time. however since I know she is ready, but since she has on diapers most of the time she lacks the moviation to use the potty of course. if I am home for the day I let her go w/ out diapers but in her pants that way she really knows when she has had an accident and that has helped a lot bc it makes her more aware and more willing to go on the potty. so if you can try that first and see where it takes you and then follow her lead: bc you cant make them pee, eat or sleep no matter how much you want to!!!! LOL

My daughter turned 2 on May 19th and I've been really laid back about the potty training....until the last 2 days where I just left the diaper off of her, and either had her in a dress or a shirt and no bottoms at all (at home of course). I told her "you're not wearing a diaper now, so if you have to go potty, you don't want to get it on the floor---tell mommy when you have to use the potty chair" She only had two accidents all day today---one was a poopy---she looked down on the floor and said "mommy, what happened?" Otherwise, she told me each time she needed to go---sometimes, I figured it was time, and I'd put her on to go, and she would. I think that technique works....after a few days of that, you can tell them that we are all done with diapers now (except at night time) and we are using underwear. Good Luck with everything!!

It sounds like she's ready, I don't think you'll need a book. I decided to fully focus on potty training after #2 was born (#1 was almost 3 at the time) because I knew I would be lazy if he regressed. Anyways, when I did potty train I spent a week at home so there were no interruptions. I would periodically put him on the toilet and there have been minor accidents, but that week was all we needed. He was familiar with the toilet before this, but I was very laid back about it. We started him on the toilet before/after bath time. It was the perfect time and it took off from there.

Hey D.,
I am on day 8 of the 3 Day potty training with my 2.5 year old son. I just wanted guidance and a step by step system so I broke down and bought it (Lora Jensen's online E book). Jackson was pee trained in a day and a half and we are still trying to poop train. I am glad I bought it. Let me know if you want to know the main philosophy behind it.
